Things to know about Dopamine jailbreak
Dopamine jailbreak supports iOS/iPadOS 15.0-16.6.1, but device support varies. Currently, Dopamine only supports:
- A9(X) devices and later (equivalent to iPhone 6S – iPhone 14, including M1-M2 iPads) supporting iOS/iPadOS 15.0 to 16.5
- A9(X) to A14 devices (equivalent to iPhone 6S – iPhone 12, including M1 iPads) supporting iOS/iPadOS 15.0 to 16.5.1
- A9(X) to A11 devices (equivalent to iPhone 6S – iPhone X) supporting iOS/iPadOS 15.0 to 16.6.1
- Dopamine cannot be used to jailbreak A8(X) iPads, but palera1n can be used instead
Dopamine can be permanently signed on your device with TrollStore, meaning you will not need to re-sign the app every seven days as you previously had to do with older jailbreaks installed via AltStore or Sideloady. Although you will need to re-jailbreak after each reboot, the convenience of a permanently signed app eliminates the need for computer interaction after installation, making it similar to a semi-untethered jailbreak.

Finally, Dopamine will install Sileo as the default package manager application, but you can also choose to install an alternative package manager like Zebra. The choice is entirely up to you; however, Cydia is not compatible with iOS/iPadOS 15 or rootless jailbreaks. TTJB emphasizes that although it is an icon of iOS/iPadOS jailbreaking, Cydia is now a thing of the past; it has not been updated for a long time, and the chances of future updates are extremely low.
