Firmware Version for iPhone 15

The firmware version for the iPhone 15 Pro is 18.1 build 22B5007p beta, released by Apple on July 29, 2024. In this new version, Apple has introduced several features within Apple Intelligence. These features can be activated by joining the Apple Intelligence waitlist in the Settings app.

Update Feature:

Siri Updates

In this update, Siri's interface has been redesigned with a more premium look, featuring a new glowing effect around the screen edges when activated. The use of Siri has also been improved. Now, you can input into Siri by double-tapping the bottom of the screen. Previously, this feature was only available as an accessibility option in the Settings app.

Improvements have been made in request processing. Siri can now maintain context between requests, allowing users to ask a question and then reference the answer in a follow-up query. Additionally, Siri can track if a user misspeaks or changes what they are saying mid-sentence. Siri now has knowledge of Apple products and support databases to answer questions about device features and settings.

Writing Tools

  • Proofreading Feature: Added a proofreading feature to check for spelling and grammar errors, including word choice and sentence structure.
  • Rewrite Feature: Added a rewrite feature that cleans up written text and changes the tone without affecting content. Options include Friendly, Professional, and Concise.
  • Text Summarization: Text can now be summarized into various formats.

Mail and Messages

  • Email Summarization: Added an email summarization feature in the Mail app. Emails are now summarized in the user’s inbox rather than displaying the first few lines of text.
  • Smart Reply: Smart reply now provides quick responses based on email or text content.
  • Notification Summarization: Multiple notifications are now summarized on the Lock Screen.

Photos

  • Memory Movie Creation: Added the ability to create Memory Movies from descriptions, including relevant photos and songs. Movies can still be edited after creation.
  • Improved Search: Enhanced search functionality with natural language support, smart completion suggestions, and the ability to find specific moments in video clips.

Other Updates

  • Safari Reader Mode: Articles displayed in Reader Mode in Safari can now be summarized.
  • Notes App: Users can now record audio snippets and receive transcriptions for those audio snippets. Summaries are provided along with the transcriptions.
  • Call Recording and Transcription: Added the ability to record and transcribe phone calls, automatically saved to the Notes app.
  • "Reduce Interruptions" Focus Mode: A dedicated focus mode that intelligently displays only important notifications.
